Since 1998, Independent Electricity Consultants, LLC has been serving all sectors of the electric power industry including utilities, ISOs/RTOs, independent power producers, energy service companies, rate payer advocates, law firms, the U.S. Department of Energy, and USAID. 

IEC provides expert witness and litigation services, electricity wholesale market design and market power analysis, competitive retail electricity rates and pricing assessments, energy planning, and professional training on the power sector and electricity markets.

IEC is led by Frank A. Felder, Ph.D. former Director of the Rutgers Energy Institute and Research Professor at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. Frank's consulting, research, and teaching has spanned over a dozen countries in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. He holds a Ph.D. from M.I.T. and is a former nuclear engineer and submarine officer for the U.S. Navy.
